The 2008 Nissan QASHQAI Challenge is in the books as producing one of the most exciting events to date. Plenty of surprises at the grand final ensured a shake up in the overall standings. The local boys stole the show in London, firing up the 50,000 spectators right in front of Tate Modern, one of the nation’s most popular art galleries. Colchester’s Sam Pilgrim took the win for the biggest result of his career, and Manchester’s Lance McDermott’s consistency scored him the overall title and the sport’s largest cash purse of €40,000!

THE FINAL IS HERE!

The NISSAN QASHQAI CHALLENGE final arrives in London on the 24th May. It will be held by the river Thames right outside Tate Modern. It is going to be the most extreme event yet with high-octane, high-impact, adrenalin filled competition. Come and see the best riders in the world battle it out. The event starts on Saturday from 9am, with the first qualifying runs from 11:45am.

XFM AT THE NISSAN QASHQAI CHALLENGE

The Nissan QASHQAI Challenge is taking place this weekend and XFM is coming along for the ride. Broadcasting live between 1pm and 7:30pm DJ John Kennedy and the XFM Street Team will be dropping beats, providing the latest updates of what’s happening at the event and if that wasn’t enough, they will be giving away some cool prizes including two of the latest equipped mountain bikes.

So, get down to Tate Modern this Saturday May 24^th and get involved.

SOUND AND STYLE LOUNGE AT THE NISSAN QASHQAI CHALLENGE

After playing hard at the Nissan QASHQAI Challenge, you may want to take a moment to chill, and what better place to do it than the ‘Sound & Style’ lounge where you will be able to check out the Bose L1 sound system. Your eyes will be treated too with exclusive urban artwork from Belgium artist Bue. It all kicks off on the 24th May on the banks of the river Thames outside Tate Modern and will be an event not to be missed.

MUNICH RESULTS MAY 11th

Event Report

May 11th, 2008: Martin Soederstrom wins a captivating final in Munich’s Olympiapark as the biggest crowd of the year was treated to a nail-biting final on the biggest QASHQAI course of the year! It was an amazing event across the board.

The final round of the Nissan QASHQAI Challenge at London’s popular art gallery, Tate Modern Gallery is sure to provide an amazing day on the 24th May.

May 3rd, 2008: Andreu Lacondeguy wins Madrid! It was an amazing day at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, the home of Real Madrid. Nissan’s course design team built the best QASHQAI course yet and the riding was absolutely through the roof!
